03/02: 'Umm, hallo C: I have been interested in the whole 'scene' look and whatnot for quite a while now, but I dont want to be labeled as such, and to get picked on. But hell, I've been made fun of for ALL my life >.> Well, for starters, im 16, about 5'8", and weigh around 190, so basically im fat, have a big butt and have like no self esteem at all... It's only when I look good (awesome clothes, hair, etc.) that I feel okay with myself. I love brightly coloured skinnies and band shirts (thats all I wear) but haven't worn any makeup at all EVER. Im afraid to ask my mom for help :X And yes, as I said before, I've been bullied since grade school and still do because of how shy n quiet I am. So, basically, I am nowhere near to being scene or anything like that :C.
And I want to get a really good layered haircut, but my mom insists that she take me to one of her friends that do the really cheap cuts and I keep refusing :/ Do I have to go to a special type of hairdresser for it? And yea, what are some good ways to wear makeup?

Answer:'1. tease combs and hairspray; practicing this "poof" task is always needed for it to ever look perfect.
2. who cares what people think? do what you want to express your "scene look"
3. get it cut in layers..or do whatever looks close enough (probably the reason your hair won't poof..)
4. not always..it's best.. maybe get a dark brown that looks close to black? who knows.. scene is not conformed.. it's a style where its outgoing and "different"-in a way where its close to its own self - hope this helps (:'

Answer: 'use lemon juice pour it over the freckles leave it to sit for about 1/2 an hour or so and should go that's what i do! x'

eyelid near your lashes? i always have trouble (i only have an eyeliner stick, (the kind you twist) and it just makes my eye water too much (my parents hardly take me anywhere to buy liquid eyeliner and it hasn't been found yet lol) how can i apply it without poking my eye out on accident?

Answer: 'honestly i did not wear any for a long time on the top... one day i just tried it and it worked and looks good.... try dark black eyeshadow, and use a "Q" tip instead of a eyeshadow brush.'
Answer: 'Start at the corner of your eye [keep the eye your drawing on shut] keep your other eye open; start drawing a thin line over your eyelashes slightly. Fill it in as thick as yew want. It will look incomplete because you didn't go all the way to the lash line. make little streaks slowly near your lash line, until it is completely filled in.^^ Good Luckk :33'
Answer: 'don't do it on the inner eyelid. Do it on the outside of the lashes but get as close to the lashes as possible. This also makes your eyes look bigger which is cute.'

or if you cant do any of that ask someone else to apply it for you'

Answer: 'No, Im Scene, and i have been for 2 years, you dont need piercings, the only piercing i have is my belly and my ears, all you need to do to be scene, is dress bright, be different, piercings or no piercings, being scene is all about what you feel comfortable in. x hope i help you :)

It's just about how you look, you deffinitely don't have to look like others. It's better to get your own accessories and clothing. Answer: 'You don't have to get piercings to be scene at all, having piercings doesn't make you scene... do what you feel comfortable with! And if you want to look like you have gotten pierced but don't want to commit you can do what I did before I got pierced. Buy some sleeper hoops at walmart or somewhere similar and cut a small section out of it and put it on. It looks alot better than most fake lip rings and you can use the other ring from the pair on your nose too.

Answer: 'You can always go for leggings and a cute tutu. It fits the whole scene image. And, about your shirt problem, try buying shirts one size bigger. so it's not as tight (and you dont look like a slut).'

Answer: 'Hey! I'm a size 12 and I live in New Zealand, I used to live in Essex. I'm curvy and I have C's. I know how you feel about being curvy and having a big bust, But don't Worry! Because you don't have to wear skinnies.
Try wearing the old school ones what sorta poof out at the bottom, and wear some bright coloured chucks with some retro laces. Also try wearing cardigans that nearly cover your but, cuz it looks really good on size 10 to 12's. Also, the breast situation. You can't help it, but maybe wearing the cardigan, not done up, and wear maybe a vertical striped top. Preferably red and black. Wearing black cardigans help with the bust. Maybe with the jeans add on some chains.
It's all about finding what looks good on you. Don't be afraid to try other things on. Short shorts look good with cardigans and long stripey socks and chucks. You don't have to wear skinnies babe. Dresses with poof out starting from under the bust look good, because it don't make your breasts look too big, and try looking for ones with bows. Purple and black look great together. ! Answer: 'Use foil yeah. (: to get a good colour, bleach a clump blonde, and put foil on even parts of it, and then dye the no-foiled part black, then cover the black die with the foil, remove exsisting foil of course and repeat with a different colour (: xx'
Answer: 'i did mine with tape, they turned out perfect. if you cant do them that way, go to a hair stylist who will do them. or just buy clip in extensions.'
Answer: 'ok well dye the part you want one solid colour (light color) then folow the instructions on the box. for the lines take a highlight brush (you can get one at a salon or ebay) then make the lines in a vertical lines. hope i helped!

Answer: 'if u wanna do it yourself, dye ur hair the one colour first, preferably the lighter colour. Condition it, dry it, straighten it. Get the darker colour and with a toothbrush dab the colour in a coon pattern on the previously dyed bit of hair. Leave the dye in for how ever long it says, wash normally and there u go. One coon tail for u!'

But wait, because once you start you can't stop. Keep them how you are, if you brush them and shape them they will be fine =)
Try to not wear make-up for as long as you can, I know lots of scene girls that barely wear any. But again, once you start it's hard to stop. So wait till you're a bit older, it's always better that way =)
I also find that pink, blue, and purple go well with brown. Also reddish/orangey/golden kind of colours work really well too =)

Answer: 'I wear glasses to and i dress this style. My glasses tend to work for the look im going for and look good with my face shape. So if i were you I would try to find glasses that compliment my face shape. Also stay away from wire rimmed frames (trust me i've been wearing glasses scince i was in the first grade and im 16 now almost 17.) They look ok when your really young but as u get into your teens they tend to not compliment ur features too much. and I know wearing glasses is not about looking good but if you're gonna be stuck with them the least they could do if compliment you and your style.
So go for maybe the frames that have color. Mine for instance are black on the outside and have a light purple in the inside with rhinestones in a sammll rectanle at the sides with a "C" inside them for the candies collection frames they have at eyemasters from ashlee simpson.'

I think that being scene is putting your own style into it. If your glasses don't match your style, MAKE them. You can wear thicker makeup, or you can rock the hair.
If you can't rock the hair (your parents might not let you cut/dye your hair.. I dunno, mine didn't at first) then rock out the belts, shoes, scarfs. Make it you!
If you can't wear contacts, it isn't a good deal. IMO, I think glasses

Answer: 'im 11 too . And i have really dirty blond hair . they're almost brown . so if your hair are kinda dark you can use a product called ''sun in'' you spray it on where you want it to be blond , like me i just want the top layers. so
you spray it where you want it to be light
then you'll need to walk around in the sun for an hour
alternatively use a blowdryer (but sun works better)
then in about 2 days there's gona be some results
just keep doing it 'till you get the color you want .
