We all want our hair to look perfect, healthy, shiny and of amazing colour! But colouring your hair at salon can be pricey, specially if you have to do it every few months. You can also do it yourself at home. Dying your hair is not that complicated, just stick to few rules:
always wear supplied gloves to protect your hands
try not to splash the dye around on bathroom walls and furniture (done it few times myself with dark hair dye - it doesn't come off ... )
start from the back of your head, as hair on the front require less dying time
apply some small amount to the palm of your hands first, spread it and apply it evenly to your hair, starting at the roots
be carefull not to miss a spot
remember about hair by your ears and on the forehead - don't forget to apply some hair dye there too :)
spread the hair dye to the rest of your hair, massage it through
if you've got really short hair, apply hair dye with tooth brush - as with shorter hair you need to be careful to dye it super evenly - they're less forgiving that longer hair :)
ask a friend for help, specially one who's got experience in dying hair at home
Good Luck and have fun!
How To Create Emilie Autumn's Hair and Make Up?
To create Emilie Autumn's divine make up and hair, you'll need to take these steps:
First apply Foundation matching your natural skin tone
then use White Powder to get Emilie's perfect pale look (ie. Stargazer White Pressed Foundation Powder)
Grab very pale power foundation and apply it on top of white powder, it will make it seem more natural, also don't forget about your neckline! (try Natural Collection Ivory Pressed Powder)
Now the eyes - use grey eye shadow on your upper and bottom eyelids, creating little wings in outer corners
Take pencil eyeliner and create lines along your upper lids with little V's in outer corners (ie. Natural Collection Black Pencil Liner)
Apply liquid eyeliner along your bottom eyelids - it requires some practice, so don't worry if you won't make it perfect the first time!
Define and smooth out the lines with grey eyshadow
How to create Emilie's Heart:
take black pencil eyeliner and create little heart under your eye, fill it with red lipstick or lip pencil
apply red lipgloss on top to add divine shine, and outerline the shape once more with liquid eyeliner
Now the finishing touches:
grab some red / peachy blusher and apply it on your cheekbones
use thickenning Mascara on your upper and bottom eyelashes (ie. Max Factor Volume Boostong Mascara)
Get pencil eyeliner / grey eyeshadow to create perfect Emilie's eyebrows, be patient, have her picture with you to know how to set the shape
And now for the perfect pout:
take your black pencil eyeliner and mark lower lip like cherry, and upper lip as heart!
Fill it with red lipstick and then red lipgloss (Ruby red) on top to create perfect heart on your lips
How to get Emilie's Hair:
create two high pig tails and grab hair curler to curl them into divine ringlets. Set the curler to maximum power to make sure the curls will stay in shape all day long. Spritz some hairspray on every ringlet after curling
If you have some pink / red dreadlocks, hair extensions, use them! Emilie loves her hair untamed, so thread few dreadlocks through each pig tail. If you don't have dreadlocks use some ribbons or decorative ropes
play with them to mix with your natural hair
Add some curly hair extensions
That means you're done my dears! Add some divine jewelry and accessories in victorian style and you're ready to spread thy plague!
Christofer Drew - 10 Facts About Me :)
Christofer Drew Ingles alias Never Shout Never is someone LBC always wanted to know more about! He's got awesome voice, cutest smile ever and we adore his lip piercing :) So we were more than happy to digg for some juicy facts about Christofer, and here's what we've found:
My mom used to call me 'dough boy' when I was a kid, because I love bread. I still eat loads of it. I'm vegetarian with vegan tendencies, although it's hard to stick to vegan diet when on the road and dinning in small towns. But I try to eat lots of vegetables.
Home is me... I don't need physical address to know where I belong. I can sit on the sofa wherever, be myself and that's when I feel at home.
I dropped out of school at the age of fifteen... it has caused many problems at home, as well as financial difficulties, but I just felt it was the only right thing to do, I wanted to pursue my carreer as an artist and live by my own rules
People around me keep me going - it kind of blows my mind - all the people I meet on tour and all their positive energy. They love me and I love them.
It's difficult to be looked up to, as I'm not perfect person. I know many people don't approve my addiction to cigarettes, but that's how I am and always will be. I just try to be the best example possible and spread positive energy.
I don't like my pictures being taken... it's true, I always blend in with the crowd after the shows, so it's not me on my own posing :)
I love parks! I always go to the parks and think a lot. Just sit on the bench on my own or with couple of buddies, look at nature and chill.
As of 17th November 2008, the official name of my act is NeverShoutNever. There's no longer exclamation mark at the end, and decided I will spell NeverShoutNever as one word when I'm happy, but three words when I'm not.
I despise word 'hate'. Hate is holding back humanity from it's full potential and I just like love, patience and understanding. Those are the things which will advance humanity.
By the time I was eighteen, I've been touring with Gym Class Heroes, and my act has been featured on MTV Music Awards... Go Christofer Drew!

Many Scene Girls with Red / Auburn Hair think there's no chance they gonna look Scene with Red Hair. We think it's absolutely cute and you can make super original hairstyle with it. Audrey Kitching also loves her red / pink hair - she loves experimenting with it too, so she always finds the best look for herself.

08/08: 'HELL YES you can be scene with red hair i know a lot of girls that like to keep their natural hair or they're not allowed to dye it i think red hair looks very cute :)'
Lip Piercing - What Should I know Before Getting It Done?
I just want to know everything i need to know before getting a lip piercing. I just want a stud on my lower left side. I'm not looking for answers like piercings are UGLY, don't get one... Thanks so much (:
Your Answers:
07/08: 'Uh... to the person that wrote another comment... Piercings are spelled the way they had. Not pericings. Piercing. Oh well.'
01/08: 'Lip peircings-
first off, you should know how to spell it before you get it done. Really, I think all you need to know:
clean it AT LEAST twice a day.
It takes about 2 to 3 months for it to heal.
Don't go swimming until you've had it in for about 2 weeks.
and in the months that it's healing, after you eat or drink, rinse your mouth out with mouthwash for atleast 30 seconds.'
04/08: 'thats awesome that your getting it done and all i can say is DON'T DO IT YOURSELF get it professionally done and just be careful :)'
How To Do Cute Black and Pink Scene Make Up?
Here is funky little video tutorial showing how to do everyday Scene make up in Black & Pink! It's super cute, and you can use the same technique with different colour combinations to match your clothes: grey / navy blue, gold / purple etc. Here's how to do it:
Steps:
apply white base to brow bone and onto a lid
use bright pink blush as eyeshadow and apply it on your upper lid
apply black eyeshadow into outer corner and crease
use a light pink blush as eyeshadow over the entire lid area to blend
line your upper and lower lash line in black
apply white eyeshadow again to inner corners
use black mascara
you can add blush to your cheekbones, if you like. If you use the same shadow as for eyes, it will emphasize them and bring them out!
put some concealer on your lips and bright pink lipgloss over top
How To Become an Alternative Model?
Alternative modelling is getting more and more popular, with burlesque, rockabilly and psychobilly trends getting into mainstream fashion. Edgy looking girls are deffinitely more popular now then polished models back from the 90s! Alternative modelling becomes quite attractive thing to do for young aspiring photomodels. But how to get into this, where to start? Taken from interviews with current (and in demand) alternative models, as well as our own experience, we've prepared few tips which will help you start in this business...
First - practice posing at home in front of the mirror! The more you do it, the more aware of your body you'll become. You should always know how stand, tilt your head or smile to look best in front of the camera. Should you look from down or up? Should you place your hands on the hips, or on waist? You will learn it quickly and soon automatically know how to pose!
Now, the make up. The rule is to put heavier make up for the shoot then you do everyday. More foundation, eyeliner, mascara or eye shadow - always accentuate your eyes! Try different make up at home and take pictures of yourself to find the right look. You will be often required to do your own make up for the shoot, so practice it as often as you can. Invest in good quality cosmetics and don't forget to take them with you every time you got booked!
Preparations: when meeting with the photographer for the first time, take your portfolio pictures with you, no matter the quality (no harm in having professional photos done, of course) but the point is to show how versatile and photogenic you are. Photographer will judge you, not the quality of the photo :)
When booked for the shoot, bring as many accessories as possible: shoes, jewelry, hair accessories, find out what is the main theme (eg. Summer Catalogue, Halloween, Burlesque) and bring whatever suitable. People on the set will cherish you for something unusual which will spice up the photos, ie. funky feather hat or cool sunglasses!
When arriving at the shoot, always be on time, take printed directions with you and contact telephone number in case you get lost! Also remember to take packed lunch and plenty of water with you - the shoot might take all day, and heat from the lamps can be exhausting.
Be patient, listen to instructions of photographer and other people on the set, be natural, relax, but come with your own ideas too - it can be really appreciated!
Which Eyeliner is Best - Liquid or Pencil? Vote now!
We've all had this dilemma - which eyeliner should I use for my make up? The common opinion is that you train your eyeliner skills with pencil, and liquid is for those with bigger practice and steady hand. You get thiner, more defined lines with liquid eyeliner, it's also perfect for creating little sharpy wings and more defined lines. Pencil eyliners are on the other hand ideal for bottom lid lines - but which one do you prefer - Liquid, Pencil or bit of both? Vote now:
Do I Have To Tease My Hair To Be Scene?
I love being scene but my hair always seems to be a problem. I have such thin preppy hair that even if I tease it, all it does is fall flat... so
do I have to tease my hair to be scene?
Nicole Hall ~ RainbowFreak
17/07: 'you don't HAVE to tease your hair i mean i dont because it damadges my hair a lot when i do so maybe try cutting your hair with more of the layers at the top? that's what ive done it saves A LOT of time as my hair already has volume then hope this helps!'
13/07: 'You dun hafta tease it. Straighten and/or add some colored extensions. Or just be yourself and make a scene wherever you go ;)'
08/07 'you don't have tew tease it... but if yuh want yuh can... if yur hair is flat yuh should tease it then put hairspray and keep teasing...the more yuh tease the bigger it gets...'
05/07: 'okay..well my hair is platium blonde and i have pink highlights at the bottom..and i have the scene hair cut.. but i don't tease it.. the thing is if u wanna look scene u can wear the colors in the hair.. the clothes, the make-up, && the accesories.. that's wutt i do cause sometimes im too lazyXD! lol so dont worry u can always use a super strong hairspray ..it can work..other than that dont worry..'
05/07: 'DON'T buy bumpits - they don't look right or even real, buy hair gel and put it in your roots or use mousse. Good luck! ~Natalie'
04/07: 'you don't have to tease it - try straightening with your head upside down it works for me :) or try getting some bumpits and you shouldn't tease your hair too much as it will damage it hope this helps :D'
02/07: 'No, you do not have to tease your hair to be scene, I currnetly don't tease my hair, because I do a summer swimming program, and It takes up a lot of time, and my hair is still scene, so to answer your question, NO!'
01/07: 'Well if you want it like an Amy Winehouse beehive then yeah you will need to do it. If you just want a bit of volume then you can get bumpits in claires and heatons..'

Rockabilly Clothing and Hair - Step by Step
Rockabilly fashion is amazingly cute and charming, this vintage look is inspired by 40s and 50s Pin Up Girls. Perfectly styled hair and flawless make-up makes it tricky to maintain and quite demanding, but we'll try to create few simple rules you can stick to and apply in your everyday look.
First of all, Rockabilly loves curvy figures! Full hips and bust are perfect to pull off these outfits! High waisted Capri Jeans or pencil skirts are here to accentuate humps and bumps!
Rockabilly chicks love belts – wide waist belt will transform even simple outfit into 40s pin up statement. There's few simple items you can have in your wardrobe to transform you into Rockabilly Girl, wear them together, seperately, or simply add them to your everyday look:
Pencil Skirts – ultra sexy, great work uniform, also try Black satin skirt with fishnet tights for evening glamour look – they will make you feel amazing! Frills at the bottom are very much in!
Cardigans – little and quirky, black, navy, red or white – from now on think like a marine! Accessorise them with little motifs: swallows, anchors or roses
Animal prints – skinny fit shirts, pencil skirts, shoes, sunglasses etc. Just remember – one animal accessory at the time, don't over-do it, it must make a statement!
Capri Jeans – skinny fit pants are the best, go for high waisted ones for ultimate pin-up look
Shirts – girly skinny fit shirts, that you can tie on the front, wear them with capri jeans or pencil skirts
Halter neck tops and dresses – very 40s and 50s, specially loved by more punk psychobilly
Dresses! Yes, Rockabilly Chicks love them – think Grease, Crybaby, the more vintage feel to the dress the better!
Prints – it's all about the right print! Polka dots will lead the way, classic Black / Red or Red / White is always a winner, but also try anything with marine, animal or baby doll vibes
Right shoes – pumps, wedges, peep toes, creepers, quirky little sandals, either flat or heeled, they should make you feel sexy, girly and ready to conquer the world – yes, right shoes can change girl's life – remember Cinderella?
Now the hair, it can be tricky and demanding to maintain beautiful Pin-Up hair-do. You will need loads of bobby pins (hair slides), curling iron – only when it comes to certain styles – hair accessories and big patience. Here you've got video tutorial for simple everyday Rockabilly hairstyle, along with step by step explanation how to achieve the look:

She loves piercing, as she posted on her Twitter account she 'feels naked without them' – she's got cute snake bites in her lips, which she's often changing from studs to hoops.
Jessie loves super skinny T-shirts – she often wears hot pink, baby blue or cream Tees, and you can see her often in zebra prints – or posing with animal print background – Scene Queen essential!
Jessie is often seen in her pictures with left hand on the back of her head – this pose is very flattering, and with her petite figure it looks super cute!

Tip Of The Week: Do I Need Piercing To Be Scene?
Being Scene is often associated with getting piercing, although there is loads of Scene Kids who don't have any piercing at all. Is it neccessity? We think not. If you however seriously think of getting piercing, at least consider these few things:
Where are you planning on (self) piercing? Earlobe? You might be ok. Ear cartilage? Not a good idea. Nose? Even less of a good idea. Lip? Worse idea. Eyebrow? Don't even go there. Nipple? Are you insane? Anything below the waist? Sterilize yourself now to prevent the stupidity from spreading.
1) Why do you want to pierce yourself?
-Did your parents say no to you getting that piercing?
-Are you being pressured by someone to get a certain piercing to 'fit in'?
-Do you think it'll just be a good laugh?
-Is it for some form of self injury?
-Just to piss your parents off?
If it's any of these or reasons similar, don't do it. It might be fun now, but you are doing permanent hole in your body, not to mention all possible complications and infections.
02/04: 'I pierced my own nose with an ear piercing gun and it didn't hurt too bad but it pinched. But then again, I have sort of a fat nose, so that would explain the pinching. But anyways, mine fell out while I was sleeping and I didn't have a backup, so it closed up, and it's completely healed and no scar :), and the thing is, is that i took care of mine, and my mom did hers the same way and shes never ever had to re pierce except to put it in again. So I don't know why everybody's like "Oh yeah, if you do it yourself it'll get infected" because it's all a matter of persistent care and seriousness. Now i'm not scene, but i am slowly and surely changing my image, it's just a matter of having the money, the permission and the energy to do it.' - Day Quinn
13/03: 'I personally like piercings if they aren't over-dramatic and take all the attention away from your face and make it so you only see the piercings themselves. I don't like those, but I do like the cute little ones like a little nose stud or a tiny lip ring. I actually plan on getting a lip ring at the very corner of my lip. But never get a piercing to piss off your parents or just to fit in, if you really want one just because you like them a lot, then that's awesome, but for any other reason then it's probably not a good idea, because some do leave scars, some do get infected, and sometimes it might turn out looking pretty bad. But there's always a way to fix it if you don't like it; just take it out.' - Kat
08/03: 'I agree with this. You really don't need them. I looove piercings, personally. But I think there is no reason besides the 'look' to have them. I'd get one myself, but I'm really scared of needles :(' - Toxic Tyler123
07/03: 'I pierced my own lip. I just wanted it done so badly, and once i had done it I felt more confident with myself and cool. It didn't hurt much, whether that was because I just wanted it done so badly or because it actually doesn't hurt that bad. I would advise people to have it done proffessionaly though, even though it costs a bit. and you don't need parent's permission to get your lip done. The only downside of having it done by a specialist is that you can't have it in the exact place you want
it.Go for it! x'D' - KTP")
11/02: 'Well first of all piercings aren't that bad idk why some parents are way to weird about qetting one. They WILL close after a while. I have snakebites and my eyebrow and they have closed but i pierced them again. Also if you can't get the real thing then get a fake... my friend Jade did that. It doesn't even look very fake but i know its fake. Haha just convince your parents by saying they will close and if not get fakes.' - Marie x
25/01: 'lip piercings would definately not be something you do to fit in. The only people who do get piercings at my school are the people who are serious and like the way it looks. There are plenty of other ways to fit in and the people who do get piercings stand out, which is also an intention with piercings. They might not leave a permanent scar, and if they do it will be very tiny. You have a better chance at a picked pimple leaving a bigger scar.' - Smiles :)
24/01: 'Piercings aren't that bad tbh, But you should think before getting them, and don't do it for stupid reasons like to piss parents off or because your friends tell you to, You want a piercing then go for it, It does leave scars but not the huge raving ugly ones like you're led to believe and things only become complicated and scar bad if you don't look after it during the healing period.
Trust me i know i've had plenty of body and facial piercings, like M.F said don't worry too much - peircings aren't tattoos. You're not stuck with them forever if you don't like them simply take them out (: But Think before you do, They dont all hurt but some kill to have done.'
23/01: 'I pierced my ear lobe twice, got them at the wrong angle - so now they're odd. plus one has an infection - probably best getting it done my professionals - ALSO IT KILLS! :L' - Holly
18/01: 'you can pierce your own ear... my friend has doubled mine and pierced the cartilage twice... you just have to be completly 100% sanitary...and clean your ears twice a day with hot water and soap, and then go over that with hydrogen peroxide every day for a month to 6 weeks.' - leahhleaah
16/01: 'I agree with Maya. Piercings aren't the end of the world. I have my ear lobes, three ear cartilidges, my nose and my lip pierced. However, I have also been moved out of my parents house for almost three years. My job is in a National Institute and I had to be prepared to take any of my piercings out if my employer found them to be offensive. (I didn't end up having to take any out). Also, when I apply to medical school I will have to remove all facial piercings. However, unlike tattoos, they do heal, with minimal damage and rather quickly.
So make sure you're getting the piercings for the right reasons, avoid getting piercings out of rebellion towards your parents and take good care of them. :) If you're dead set on getting a piercing despite your parents saying no, at least get something in your ear that won't give them a complete heartattack. It shows at least a small amount of respect for their wishes!
All in all though, piercings are great!
Cheers.' - Kirsten Kukula
13/01: 'Is this website written by parents? Its really shockingly bad and really patronising. Seriously girls, wear what you loke, not just because its 'scene' and you want to look like everyone else. That used to be the whole point in being alternative!!' - No Thanks!
12/01: 'Cartilage Piercings KILL. And all piercings leave a scar once they heal. Do you want to be a senior with an ugly scar on your nose/lips? No. I don't think so. Personally, I think lip piercings are really, really ugly. I like ear piercings, even cartilage ones, but really. Lips? Nose? Yick. Anyway. That's all I'm saying.' - Brianna Mareek
10/01: 'ok. i totally agree that you should think about what you want from your piercing a lot before you get it and maybe i shouldn't even say anything since i don't have any piercings besides my ears but i have a lot of friends that get various piercings all the time, one even got a medusa and she just took it out after a few months, no complications. and she may
still have the hole from that but you can't see it. And her lip piercings
completely healed up after having them for like 5 months then taking them
out.
This article makes piercings sound wayyy more scary then they actually are. i'm getting my tounge pierced, angel bites and possibly my eyebrow in a while and as long as you
get it done at a piercing place (DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF/HAVE A FRIEND DO IT, NEVER TURNS OUT GOOD, I WOULD KNOW)
know that a piercing is truely what YOU want and not because you
want to 'fit in', your not doing it just to piss of your parents or
anybody else, and most importantly, it's not for self injury of course.
do exactly what the person who pierced it told you to for the after care so it won't get infected.
like i said before, don't get it done because your parents don't want you to, and if you know that it's what YOU want then get it done.
If your parents don't like it tell them that you respect that and once it is healed you will take it out if it's not the appropriate place to have it in/ they ask you to take it out for a while... Parents never like to see their kids grow up and make decisions for themselves without anything they can do about it so respect what they say, take it out for school/family gatherings/job interviews/work/anywhere that they may not want their kid to be seen with a piercing.
But this doesn't mean take it out every time your hanging out with your friends at the mall and you see your mom's best friend walking by.
Overall, what i'm saying is DON'T BE THREATENED BY PIERCINGS. theyaren't tattoos. :) ' - Maya Faun.
Why People Pick On Others For How They Look and Dress?
Hi, i would like to know, why do people pick on others for being so called "scene"? I got picked on at first then I actually stayed home for ages. Then I got popular on bebo. And now well everyone says I'm pretty, my pictures are amazing. I look like a model ect.
And you know what some girls moan about they wana be thinner cause apparently that's scene to be thin... err no it's not. I'm thin im size 12 but im tallish i got flat stomac ect i durno if your americans or w.e but your mad to think being ultra thin is scene i just dont understand why people fuss so much:/
Give it time ur learn new things and some advise - don't backbrush your hair so it looks like a birdsnest. And don't use stupid false colourd extecions most of them look so fake and tacky.
Most famous scene kids dont dress in bright stuff anyway its more indie style thats "scene" now so no affence ;]

07/03: 'people pick on other people that aren't wearing what they wear because they aren't mature enough to relize no one wants to be the same. the goth kids get picked on by jocks cuz they wear darker clothes. nerds get picked on by EVERYONE cause they are the BRAINS of the school and look like it.
I get picked on sometimes and I'm called a poser. But everyone is a poser, because there is no ABSOLUTE way of being just one fashion look, your always gonna have a little of everything in your look, so stay strong and tell those haters to eat sh!t and leave you alone!' - Sasha Norup
06/03: 'i love this. I'm not scene or emo, or even punk. I like dark/neon colorz && I'm a very pale chick wiff wayy too much makeup on her face and too many colorz in her hair. butz its who i am and who i always will be. it doesnt make me anything, its just clothes and makeup...and how i express myself.' - Neon_love&&Bleedinq_colourz
21/02: 'seriously people will say whatever they want to destroy u so don't let it get the best of you. i've been called emo for about 2 or 3 years but my friends were jk. people thought just because i wore eyeliner or a black jacket that i was gothic. i said this "look you don't have to be gothic to wear black. im simply the person who doesn't care what u think and i wear watever i please." ' - Ashley Sibley
16/01: 'you are who you are. people that wanna judge you can go to hell. i don't see scene kids walking around making fun of people. Everyone has their own taste and if other people don't like well then too bad they'll get over it:)) i love youu' - stphmrie.
12/01: 'everyone calls me an emo, i dyed my hair black yesterday, but they called me emo for a year or so anyway, its just coz my mates are emo, im scene and coz i just so happen to wear a hoodie, even in the cold they judge me, and everyone spreads stuff that they see me sliting my wrists which is COMPLETE nonsense, but. Scenes wear what they like and i would say the only thing about that makes like emos is the fact that we are unique and different ! x' - Maddi x
05/01: 'heyhey:), I get called emo constantly at school, even by my close 'friends'. What I do is I just call them *shudder* chavs and that shuts them right up. I have really dark brown hair (natural) with loads of bluee, and just coz i wear my hood up, and wear neon, i get called emo. They just call us it because they're too stupid to know what scene is. They even critisize my hair saying 'ooo theres waaaay too much spray in it, it's too biiig' and ur just like well fuck off then. I have also been called a goth because of my make-up :@:@. i just ignore it, and carry on, if they can't accept me for who i am then i really don't care what they think ' - Amy XD
31/12: 'This one kid keeps asking me if I cut myself because I always wear my hoddie and u rarely c my arms and this one girl - she is a stuck up snob - all of the sudden she starts dressing like me and apparently I made a bigger deal out of it than it really was so she goes around the school and says if you see faith wearin the same clothes as me tell her that I wear them better than her. Would she be considered a poser or just a wannabe??? (and it really tickes me off) (and we aren't close cuzs)' - XDFayKayXD
26/12: 'I have scene hair and I wear skinny jeans and whatever but everyone mistakes me as "Emo" and it's really annoying. Anyways, back on task.. I'm actually a size 11 and I have a flat belly but I think my thighs are big.LOL. Skinny jeans don't help. I live on a military base and I'm not aloud to dye my hair but I'm aloud to wear make up: D I am the only person at my school with scene hair and I think it's really cool and I stand out, off to try these eyelinerr tips,, deuces and thx btw(: byeee' - Julia A
22/12: 'omg you're soo right it soo cool to be scene i'm such a scene queen. i use like 5 bottles of hairspray on my hair for one night of raving and moshing to bmth and i love the guys that look anorexic because of their pants especially when their ass is hanging out.
All you people say "Don't label me." yet you kids label yourselves as a fake label or "scene". Stop whining about something you put on yourself or actually be a unique indiviual.
You are not different when you dress like people you see on MySpace or Bebo. The ghetto kids are more unique than you people. And go ahead say your shit about how I'm wrong. I am right.' - the scenest person ever
22/12: 'i think scene is beautiful. i hate when people fucking judge you it's not like we are harming them in any way except by looking wayyyy better hahahah.' - Monica Perry
How To Pass as Scene Girl if You're Dark Skinned?
Are you Black Girl and love Screamo, Rock and/or any alternative music but you don't really got the looks? Do you like to go to concerts where there's always bunch of insanely pale Scene Girls that look absolutely stunning? You can find your way around it and look super cute as Scene Girl with few of these handful tips:
Hair: If you want your hair to be as manageable as possible, you should invest in a 'kiddie' perm. The perm will straighten your hair.
Afterwards, take a rattail comb, (try not to use a brush unless you're most comfortable with that), and comb the front of your hair (from your crown) so it falls into your face or to the side, so it looks like a side bang (if you dont have one). Make sure you've got a good amount of hair (not too much so you don't have any hair in the back and not to little so when you go outside it flows everywhere in the wind). Now, put a clip in it to hold it (and make you look super kawaii [a.k.a cute]).
Another cute scene style that is acceptable around your friends/family is putting your hair into a low ponytail, and letting your bang [of course] and random chunks of hair fall down where your sideburns should be.
If you want front bangs do the same thing but instead of moving your hair to the side, just brush it down your face and find a length that you like and snip snip. Also add a hairclip or headband of your liking. Make sure your hair is dry when you cut it, or your bangs may end up really short!
Makeup: Simple. Just wear some eyeliner (preferably black), mascara (optional), and some foundation. You should do brighter and bolder eyeshadows - the best ones would be grey or neon colored. A sheer white, and things of that nature, would just look odd. Remember it all depends on your skin tone. Read our full article to find out more tips how to apply Scene Make Up If You're Dark Skinned.
Clothes/Accessories: Skinny Jeans are a must. Also if you have any graphic tees [tee shirts with words or pictures on them] wear them!. Some major scene characters to wear on your shirt are Hello Kitty, Gloomy Bear, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and basically any wacky looking things. If you don't feel like wearing skinny jeans and you want to wear leggings, do not wear tutus. If you want to wear pantyhose, they must be designed and you have to wear an oversized tee. For shoes, wear converse, vans, or flats. Nike dunks are also becoming popular. Boots are becoming popular in scenestyle also. A long pearl necklace wrapped around two or three times if you feel for it. Bracelets and rings are also cute.
Start slowly with clothes and makeup. First off, you will be called a poser. Don't start too quickly because (especially) if you have parents from another country, they'll be all "WTF?" and start complaining about your new look. Remember: Start slow.

07/03: 'if your race isnt white, your still gonna be able to be scene. but if your hair is already the scene style and you don't know how to tease it so it looks good and scene proper, you can always just use a little gel (even it out) and flat iron it. it should help! i do it this way and my hair always looks scene-tastic.' - Sasha Norup
02/03: 'I'd say get extensions and be bold! a medium amount of eyeliner is good and try to avoid shopping from urban stores. <3'
23/02: 'Do not for the love of god, put too much perm in your hair! From experience! It will damage your hair if you put to much in. You can always get a weave for an alternative to long straight hair, and it helps your natural hair grow!' Roze
09/02: 'If you are lighter skinned, neons are a must. Pinks, greens, and blues are definite colors. I see lots of people with just black, but eyeshadow is a needed touch. You can get these at any store like Claire's. Good luck!! =]' - Racheal Reactionz
12/01: 'do it with a skin colored eyeliner pencil and go over it with black or sparkley charcoal eyeshadow - it lasts longer and looks great!' - Maddie Monday
11/01: 'put a lot of pretty black eyeliner and put black glittery stars by your eyes. you would look really pretty(:' - yensi velasquez
08/01: 'For your hair: Make sure that you don't over tease or back comb. Your hair will break off. Same with the flat iron, so make sure you use an oil sheen:)' - Donnie Heredia-Hassett
Where To Get Quality Clip-In Hair Extensions?
You love your hair to be big and look good all day long? It's always a challenge, specially if your natural hair always find their own different ways... Slightly annoying, but there's way to help it. Clip-in hair extensions are becoming more and more popular, and you can get them nearly everywhere. The most recommended ones are made by Sally's Beauty Supplies, the best (cheapest) way is to get ones without clips, and then simply sew the clips yourself. Make sure they are real hair, it's more natural, and they will blend in with your real hair, so noone will see the difference! You can also straighten, curl them and do whatever you wish to look fantabulous!

11/03: 'I usually get my hair extensions at claires.(: haha well they are really great and only 5$$$ unlike places that costs like 10 and doesn't look good :/ ' - Lexie Marie
10/03: 'hair extensions are amazing if your going for the awesome scene look. If you have dark hair,i'd suggest neon colored ones, so it'll bring out who u are (:' - Jamie
01/03: 'Before You Apply The Extentions You Would Back Comb That Section First But Not So Its Big And Then Clip The Extentions In, It Will Make Them Stay In & Feel More Secure.'
07/02: 'when i wore mine i washed them like once a week, the ones from Sally's hold curl for a long time and if you brush them, they still hold the curl... : ) oh, and they straighten really well as well, just like real hair : ] so, yeah : ) I think im going to start wearing them again :)' - Stephanie
20/01: 'i got mine from a brand called neona and they do neon extentions to brighten up your hair and they look great in blonde or black hair!!:-)'
04/01: 'I got mine at sally's and i got mine without the clips but just sewed the clips on my hais blonde so i got black if i ever wants some in my hair =]' - Payton
02/01: 'I got my hair extensions from www.additionallengths.com and they are brilliant, cheap, real hair, and you can dye them. They're really great, and all you have to do is treat them like your normal hair. However, if you straighten them too much they get split ends and so forth so they need trimming like normal hair. Instructions come in the packet. If you have thick hair you might need two pairs, but I never really had that problem.' - Georgie Rose
26/11: 'Mine isn't a tip no offence. But when I was the extentions would I wash them like my own hair?'
16/11: 'I bleach my hair and then dye randomness of pink everywhere, but some people's parents wouldn't let them do that :/' - Sierra LuVonne
09/11: 'Make sure you wash them every few days. Like maybe once a week!' - Cameron

As Crunk Core As It Gets?
So what do you think of this fresh new trend - Crunk Core? I'm sure you've seen these Crunk Kids - they insist it's a brand new trend, although in my opinion it's been there since all Scene trend started, and evolved from there...
I talk neon color clothes, printed Hoodies, foil print Tees, Jumbo Diamond Jewelry and shutter shades. I talk BrokeNCYDE. Shutter shades, let's face it, are bit on a rotten side now, as they were popular for a very short time, and quickly the bubble burst, once you could get them for free as promo items. But Neon Color Clothes, clashing prints, designs and firing combinations? Yes, please...
So what do you make of the whole Crunk Core - new trend set to stay or something to forget? Leave a comment!
30/01: 'I have never stuck with 1 type of style I change it up depending on my mood & weather, where I'm going etc! I've always loved fashion, makeup, doing my hair in diff ways sometimes I go for a more eccentric look and sometimes play it down a lil bit but I have an eccentric personality and I don't ever wear anything that screams "look at me" like on a daily basis some people dress way too crazy, and I think it all depends on the person cause some can really pull it off while others do look like they are trying too hard! I'm actually looking for ideas cause I just started a job at hard rock cafe as a server and great place to work if you want to be able to look how you want more eccentric and you are actually encouraged to do so' - Hanna B
10/01: 'well I think that like we can't judge them if that's what they like let them wear it you can't call someone a poser for dressing how they love to and can express themselves in but u can if they're a scene hater wanna be ;P who were jerks about scene and not wanna be cool also it's not cool braning them like that and even if they are really poser scene hating lameRz who gives a care they'll never be able to pull it off as Beast as us let the posers pose but honestly what can we do about those mindless trend eating zombie followers as long as you know ur not one of them who gives a care they'll soon get bored and go prep again' - ~KiDxKaPoWwiE
07/01: 'uhmm ... i think u guys need ta be urselves , n this site is really stereotypical . i like the clothess but like ya gottta call 'em scene tshirts or scene jewwelry n emo gloves . so whatt ? i wear hollister t-shirts but tease my hairr n wear skinny jeans n flipflops , who caes ? hop off my case betchh . -_-' - marisaxmadness
26/12: 'BLECH! i understand that you need to express yourself...and they have a right to dress that way, but WHY! it is nothing but hiphop clothes! yes 30h!3 is a crunk core band i guess, but they make it look fashionable at least, im not one for sterotypes but we have to give it something a name, it looks just like Scene but for stupid men... but if they wanna look like cheap posers that's their problem, i hope this one dies out though' - ChibiCupCakeOfDoom
24/12: 'Well if it continues it'll just evolve more and become less scene anyway, why not let it?' - Ashii
22/12: 'Ok so there is nothing wrong with crunk core. So what if it came out of the scene style. Every trend is just a spin off of a previous trend, what makes this one anymore different? If anything people of the scene style should be proud to have influenced these ppl and this new look. This new look is complementing you guys not insulting you. Some of you guys sound like the same ppl that were judging you when u came out with the scene style.... The same closed-minded ppl.' - Brittany Barbie
22/12: 'oh deary me. i'm Crunk Core? This is exactly how i dress! i've been wearing bright colors and big bows since 4th grade. now it's sad that there's a stereotype for everything now.
i like the idea of Japanese street fashion, and that's kind of what it is. You have to remember, this was what was worn in the 80s and what is worn as Harajuku fashion in Japan. Maybe we're just stereotyping what's already been there? Who knows. All i know is that i learned something new today. I guess I'm classified
as Crunk Core..' - Glitter X Guts
20/12: 'I think that we should let people be. If people want to wear abercrombie and fitch with skinny jeans and vans, GO FOR IT! Don't be hateful to others. You wouldn't want them making fun of you for who you are. Be who you are and let others be who they are. I think everyone needs to just chill out.'
19/12: 'umzz.. It kinda depends on how you do it. Some people can make it look cool but some people screw it up completely. there's this chick at my school who makes crunk core look pretty beastt lawlz xP I think people shouldn't get mad because people are thrying something new tho :)'
27/11: 'this is the first I've heard of it....although from wut ive heard i really think its just the same as scene and it kinda makes me think posers considering they consider it a new stereotype / style, wutever u wanna call it but i shudnt judge but its really just wut i think' - mikki
22/11: 'well, if they wanna dress that way, why not let them?? I mean, scene broke off from emo years back... why can't this one break off from scene?? really, I despise labels, and anyone that calls someone else a poseur just cuz they're mad. I think that everyone should dress how they want, y'now?? w/o being scared of being called a fake. A lot of you people say "dress how you feel" but when someone that fits the description of "prep" , or something like that, tries to wear gauges or BMTH t-shirts, yu go all psychotic on them :/ why can't yu listen to country but also listen to screamo?? we have enough people attacking scene && emo kids on urbandictionary.com and sites like that w/o doing it to others too! idk..i just wish people weren't so "stylist" :c (thats like racist exept furr clothes)' - kodiliciousbbys
17/11: 'I like crunkcore. It's a branch off of scene just like hardcore or glamxcore. I think crunkcore bands are cool, too. 3OH!3, Hollywood Undead, and brokeNCYDE? Yes please! ;)' - Beth Thrash
14/11: 'I think that ppl need to stay in their own trends... if you're into black swoopy hair ok, stay. but if you're into baggy pants, weave, and jordan's STAY WITH IT! I myself am somewhat black, but you wouldn't be able to tell. And I am sad to say that EVERYONE at school is now ATTEMPTING to dress this way.... sweety new boyz can pull it off, but you cant' so please stop trying ! XD' - merrelaXmelancholy!
13/11: 'I don't think that's a crunk core style... I dress like that and I hate anything to do with crunk core...' - Josi Francis
10/11: 'its cool if your not a posers tring to fit in but the worst than posers if your some one who made fun of emo/scene kids like get a life' - Fallon Cassidy
08/11: 'well, i think its just an extended version of scene.. i hate it. they're taking the scene look but making it more hip-hoppy. it bothers me >:(' - sydney freed
03/11: 'Ugh!!! I hate it!!! Its just those preppy hip-hop kids trying to get into our trend!!!! First cheerleaders and preps getting gauges, and now this!!! Posers!!!' - Lucy Cortez
04/11: 'well i think it's pretty stylish but a lot like the scene style sort of like and other version of it...? idk...' U2CuteBabe
Tip of The Week - How to Apply Eyeliner?
Eyeliner is very important for Scene Emo make up, it helps to define your eyes and create the look you're after: soft everyday or evening vampy look. There are two types of eyeliner: liquid or pencil. Liquid eyeliners are ideal for creating thin perfect lines along your lashes, and require steady hand. Pencil eyeliners are more forgiving, great for beginners, and are really good for smudgy thicker lines. Choose the one you feel more comfortable with, if you prefer liquid eyeliners, pick waterproof one so it won't run during a day. If you opt for pencil liner, get soft one, so you can apply it (and re-apply during a day) easily. Maybelline makes great soft pencil eyeliners.
Few tips how to apply eyeliner:
Rest your elbow on a hard surface, and rest your wrist on your face.
Tilt your head back slightly and bring your eyes to a half-open state. This creates good angle for application, while allowing you to see what you're doing.
Pull your upper eyelid gently with your finger to the side and slightly up. This stepis optional, as many people prefer applying eyeliner on relaxed eye. To prevent the eyelid from shaking if you do not pull it, focus gently but intently on your eyes in the mirror. If you are applying eyeliner to someone else's eyes, ask them to choose one spot on the wall to look at.
Draw a line along the upper lid on the lash line. Start on the inside corner of your eye and make a thin line going to the outside of your eye. This creates the desired illusion of having thicker lashes.
If you're using liquid liner, allow it to dry before opening your eyes all the way, or the color may transfer into the crease of your eye.
Line the lower lids. Trace the outside of your eye (close to the lower lashes). NEVER put eyeliner on the inner rims because it gives you earlier, more dramatic wrinkles and can give you an eye infection especially if you use un-quality brands. Moving from the outside edge inward, draw a line lightly, but don't go for perfection, you can go back over the faint line and darken after the stroke. Your line should be slightly thicker at the outside corner, becoming thinner as it moves in toward your nose. Follow the shape of your eye! It looks more natural.
Connect the lines from upper and lower eyelid in the outer corner of your eye by creating little wings. Now if you're feeling bold, make the line on your upper eyelid slightly thicker - if you make any mistake, you can correct it with cotton bud and bit of cleansing milk on it.
What are your tips for applying perfect line? Have you got favorite brand of eyeliner? Share it here and see what others think and suggest!
07/05: 'Okay it's about liquid eyeliner :) well i use Loreal CArbon black liquid eyeliner (i think thats what its called, the words have faded off xD) anyhoo i put it on really decent like its not thin but not thick. but by the time im in my 4rth or 5th class at school, theres barely any left :o anyone got any tips on how to keep it on all day? or at least any good brands ? XD thank yew :D' - *hiss* xD
02/05: 'its hella easier to practice wha you want to look like with your eyeliner on. and if your doing wings start with pencil then go over it again with liquid h2o proof eyeliner' - maddi
21/12: 'avon glimmersticks work well..i use a very thin layer of eyeliner on bottom lashline. pull your eye's corner to give yourself a firm working surface. use a thicker pencil on upper lashline' - June Briskete
20/12: 'Use a 'Q-tip' to press against the top of your eyeball when the eye is closed to stretch the top lid meaning a more even, thin and/or visable line.' - Soffi Rosa
24/08: 'Usually girls would pull their eyes and start putting eye liner on. Don't do that, it causes wrinkles.' - Harumi
29/08: 'If your eyes look like they're sloping down, try only putting eyeliner all along the bottom lash line :D works for me :P' - Poppet
29/08: 'i think you should
take a black eyeliner and put it on really thick on your bottom eye lid
then u should put it even thicker on your upper lid
then u need 2 put on a whole bunch of mascarra - and don't listen to your parents when they say no, take it of lol : D - any ways
make a poind like cat eyes and make it go really far out
then surround everywere you put the eyeliner in exact lines like the cat eyes.
Put black eyeshadow over it, and the make up is done!
Now you just need to do your hair the usual way, I can tell u how I do my hair, ok:
First I brush my hair completely
then take flat iron it and go over it as many times as needed to get it super flat :)
then I separate pieces of hair and tease it
then use hairspray - i use gottaB glued
once it's done, I put a bow in my hair (I like putting it by the side bangs)
then I kinda tweak it a bit and I'm done :)
Oh, and don't forget to wear tight jeans and any tight t-shirt prefferably, a t in
black with a name of a club or something u have never been 2 - ok well, I think im done here byyyyy' - kaitlyn ansinda lol
30/08: 'i love kailyn ansinda lol's info i was gonna do that but i only aply it with a pencil eye liner on my top lid n then thinner on my bottom...:] i like the look batter. haha' - Saffire lovee
31/08: 'If you're new at this, I'd really try to mess around with putting the eyeliner on before going out. This gives you time to perfect your technique and find a look that's good for you. :]' - Chessy
01/09: 'my favourite brand of eyeliner, is annebelle smoothliner, because it shows up super dark and it's easier to apply than pencil. i think i'm going to
try your eyeliner trick because sometimes i don't always get the result i want when using pencil.' Miss Illussion
04/09: 'Use a sotf tip eyeliner and apply it to your top lid in a thick even line putting wings on at least the outside some like it on the inside as well then put another thick but even layer on your lower lashes make sure to get the corners so your wings meet your bottom lash line' - Ami Rayne
04/09: 'what i do for Liquid eyeliner since i dont have a very steady hand is i apply a bunch all ova my eyelid and then get a babywipe/tissue and wipe most of it off right down the lash line. ^_^ hope this helps' - Charlotte
04/09: 'When i put eyeliner on, i find it helps if you make sure your eyes are completely clean, because if you sleep with eyeliner on, you notice it gets thicker under your eyes. So once your eyes are clean, then i put my eyeliner on. Plus its easier to see what your doing . :)' - Emma = ]
04/09: 'Use pencil eyeliner, but sharpen the pencil so you can do thin lines. Try to put the liner as close to your eye as you can. Then play up your eyes by putting a contrasting eyeshadow on. If makeup isn't allowed at ur school then u can use big tricked out skool colored bows to look awezome! :]]'
15/09: 'stretch the top of your eye out to the side for to get the eyeliner on in a straight, even line at the top of your eye, this will make it look neat as long as you don't shake your hand and if you do the line all in one go.' - Kirstie Boyd
15/09: 'well, i do my eyeliner like this...
i sharpen my coloured pencil (purple or blue usually) and i apply that really thick on the top and bottom..
i sharpen my black pencil and then go over the colour slightly thinner though and go to a flick on the corner of my eye (usually pretty dramatic :D )
i put a few coats of mascara on really slowly shaking the brush from side to side each time on the top and bottom..' - Sarah (:
20/09: 'I always use different types of eyeliner at the same time because it adds a more dramatic look...always use eyeliner on the top and bottom and never on the inner eyelid' - Ms Jazzy
10/11: 'When i'm applying my eyeliner, i always make sure to rub my pencils tip between coats, or else i get smudges form my eyes watering. Good luck!' - Karen-Beverly XD
How To Cut Your Own Scene Hair?
Love Scene Hair but can't think of trusting anyone else wih cutting it just the way you want? Fancy Scene do but you want something unique, original and standing out? There's one thing you can do to get this look - cut your hair yourself! With bit of preparation and experience you'll get the hair cut you've always dreamed of! Here's few simple steps how to cut your own Scene Hair:
Start with freshly washed, damp hair. If your hair is dry, spritz with water until damp. Comb out.
Start with a plan - what do you want to do -- cut off two inches or drastically change your whole look?
If you want your Scene Hair similar to someone else's, have the picture with you to see exactly how to cut your hair and examine the progress.
Pull a small section of hair straight in your hand. Place your fingers where you would like to cut. Only cut about half an inch at the time.
After each snip stop and re-examine the progress. Let hair fall straight - is it even?
Cut one side and then the other, rather then alternating - that often leads to cutting off more than desired. Instead, cut one side to desired length, and then match on other side.
To create layers, cut section of your hair to different lengths, making each cut on a sharp angle. Create few small cuts vertically to the ends to blend the layers in.
Take a small razor and create layers from the mid length of your hair, going down to the ends. It will thin down the ends, blending the layers in and create beatiful shape to your hair.
Try to put as much hair to the front to cut, but if you must cut the back, go slowly, use two mirrors (facing each other) and examine progress after each cut.
Relax! It's just hair. No matter what you do it can be fixed in some way. If not, it will grow back! Go slowly and do not be nervous. Anxiety will increase your chance of making a mistake. If you find yourself continuing to try to even out sides, STOP! You will soon cut off more hair than you desired. Stop, take a deep breath, and reassess. Your hair does not have to be exactly even.
10/04: 'i cut my hair a lot! and everytime i cut it i think it looks better!
supplies you need:
hair straightner
comb/brush
razor, any kind.
steps:
i brush my hair
i straighten it!
i cut it!
ok so when i cut my hair i start in the back and make it super short! then i i just razor it everywhere!!!' - sam :3
23/02: 'OMG! thanx for the advice guys :D thanx to u guys, my hair is perfecto! keep staying awesomeness!' - Molly
02/02: 'ok, so i cut my hair and it looked pretty good, but what kind of scirrors are you suppost to use, or does it not matter?' - courty golf
22/01: 'for a better layering damp your hair and pull straight to full length in the air and twist then take a razor and pull in desired areas to thin and layer.' - LilaLove
17/01: 'ive tryed cuttin my own hair the way i wanted it you just have to take it slow and be careful and try not to mess up so much but it's really easy!!' - marquiajohnson
12/01: 'it is right, but being a scene makes u unique, and different to everyone else as u don't follow trends u tend to make ur own one, most scene people like (moi) try to do things from scratch and see how it leads on. You don't just copy a style u have seen, it just makes u a wanna be scene. I would suggest going to the hairddressers personally, u don't have to have a picci to show'em but u could say, like layers and then while she does it tell her ways u want it to be cut and the lenghts, so if this is confusing x but i guess its ok to do it urself as well just could be hard doing the baddk !' - Maddi x
30/12: 'I reallly want scene hair, but I'm just afraid that I will look like a freak with it. I don't trust the salon much with my hair only because my moms a little old-school and normally tells the salonist what to do, behind my back. Plus, my hair is SUPER curly, all over. I straighten my hair sometimes, but I'm worried that if I do it straight everyday, I will "break" it, like one of my friends have done. Does anyone have tips on curly scene hair? For a beginner, plus, no dyes. Not ollt do I like my natural hair color (Dirty-blonde) but I wouldn't be allowed to dye my hair.' - Becca Smith
18/06: 'I have ott hair. Its so curly (frizzy) and stubborn nothing will help it. >:[.... But recently i have found an awesome hair style that looks unique. I tend to have my big curls tied in a side ponytail with a few curls hanging out on the other side and i straighten a side fringe over. It looks cool and is pretty simple and quick and im sure not many ppl hav my hair so it's unique!!!'
25/07: 'If you are cutting your own scene hair, start with wet hair and pull a big circle of hair on the top of your head (the amount that you want to be the really short layers) then twist it and razor it off (not an electric razor). This will give you creative, razory layers. Then thin out the longer part into razored layers by pulling it tight and running the razor down it in the same motion as backcombing ^_^' JelJel
26/07: 'i cut my own hair all the time. i took half of it and layered that half, then left the rest long and and uncut so all i had to do was backcomb the top layers a bit and it looked scene. however, i then cut a fringe and cut my hair all the way up to my freakin EARS. to add to the look, i dyed it jet black. (i was a natrual blonde) worst mistake of my LIFE. so now i look like edward scissorhands on a good day. Gutted.' - Daina Hailey Renton
26/07: 'omg thanks!!
mwaah! I went to the hairdressers the other day with a pic to get my hair kinda like yours and well she did some random layers and it looks-- well not scene - just normal!! thanks my hair looks a lot better' - Just Faz
11/08: 'Hey!! thank u soooo much !! My hair looked bad after i went to salon so i cut it myself after i read that!!! My mom thinks i look wierd....PERFECT!! thanks again! xxxx' - Pixie
11/08: 'i try cutting my own bangs but can never do it right, how do you cut bangs??' - Jackie Wilds
14/08: 'never cut your hair for self destruction i was the biggist mistake i ever made wiv my hair (tht includes dyeing it green)' - NeKro_angelus
17/08: 'Am not very much into the scene thing but I love the red hair color... What color exactly does she have' - Vanessa
21/08: 'I really am scared to do my own hair because i'm known to mess things up, so i want my aunt to do it (she styles hair). But i'm afraid that she'll mess it up, cause she wouldn' t dye my hair, and now i'm scared that she'll mess everything else up!' Kati Galloway
24/08: 'Don't do it it ruin's your hair tbh, cutting it i mean!!' - Molly Pipkins
29/08: 'At first I totally didn't trust myself to cut my own hair, but when I never got round to visiting the hairdresser [mum never wanted me to cut my hair xD].. I decided to do them myself. There was no stopping me :) I can't say I read up anything online..I just took the scissors & cut away :S
Actually turned out pretty good, until I decided I wanted to cut my fringe [bangs for americans, i believe] some more..at which point it just kept going downhill.. I've decided I have to work more with styling, less with cutting..
It's quite easy, really, just as long as you don't cut huge chunks in one go.
I used a thinning razor and just cut like you back-comb [as suggested] except that I cut downwards, not upwards..
as for layering the back of my hair, I tied them up in a high ponytail and layered them like that.
Funnily enough it worked ^^ kind of had to rework the bottom of my hair after, but it was much easier after layering first with a high ponytail.. Now the only problem I still have is getting permission to dye my hair xD And the fact that I'm afraid it'll wreck my hair.. shall have to wait and see.. and hope :]' - Delyla Lenae
31/08: 'i like to experiment with my hair styles (even if its not a smart idea) so i just put my hair in a half pony tail, cut of the tip of the pony tail and style the rest my way, and you have razor cut hair with a twist!!' - Kelsey Drew
13/09: 'these things are wrong, just do what ever the fuck you want and call it your own, that's what scene really is!' - Ronnie Radke
14/09: 'when i go to the salon should i say layers in front and back or just where should they be or should i show them a picture and say i want my hair to be able to do this and show her a picture?' - Maxine Ricker
23/09: 'I think this is nt so great to cut your own hair as i dont know how to cut the back of my hair properly, I like the razor affect though.. and i found that s0ometimes it is easier to curl the top layer of you hair then back comb the curls as it it gives more poofyness :] X'ox'o' - Ian Pean
30/09: 'I cut my own hair all the time. I just can't seem to get the cut I want when going to a stylist, so I only go to them for trims. Its not that hard to cut your own hair, and it has always turned out alright for me. (: I hold the scissors upright, and never cut straght accross. It's helpful in making layers that don't look too choppy. Thanks for these tips! <3' - Amanda Hoenigke
27/10: 'i cut my hair all the time too, I only do side bangs and noting more other wise i'd get in major trouble, but i don't really care !!! I like my hair kinda short with bangs, and i don't dye my hair i just put up with my red/orange hair and just cut it and im DONE !!! but really it's not that bad having natural colored hair while still having the scene look and im pround to have my hair color just the way it is, but i do sometimes put in extentions though (: thanks for these tips <3 XD' - Julie Navarro
12/11: 'Okay so I used to cut my hair as soon as school was out EVERY Friday. Needless to say it was addicting. I dye it myself as well. Lol, I haven't cut it in a few months though just trim my top layers. Currently it's black with Fuchsia and Blue underneath my bangs. Honestly girlies, it's not the difficult : ) Give it a shot' - Sarah Arin : )
14/12: 'i also cut my own hair all the time. It's really easy and natural once you get the hang of it. At the moment I have a scene do, it's black with blue highlights. Did the dye myself too. Thanx for all the great tips guys. peace Xx' - sasha
Emo Hairstyle for Guys - What's Hot?
There is plenty of tips for ladies how to create their Scene Hair, but we haven't forgot about you guys! To prove we still love you, here are some really good tips how to get and keep your hair in Emo style with minimum time and effort!
The really good thing about the boy Emo hairstyle is that it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money to create one. This is very much a “do -it- yourself” hairstyle, as well as one you can get a professional stylist to do.
It’s all about personality and your preferences. Emo hairstyle should be crazy and all over the head. It’s also a hairstyle to have fun with.
Another great thing about boy Emo hairstyles is that
it can be created by anyone.
you can do it on your own, or have your best friend do it
you can choose to go to a salon that specializes in the Emo haircuts
The standard Emo cut is normally layered in many different lengths. A razor can be used on the back so that it will have a spiky look, with longer bangs in the front. An important part of the Emo haircut is to have some uneven strands framing your face.
Here's few simple steps how to style your Emo Hair:
Add hair glue to the front bangs. This will make them stiff and straight, just the way that Emo bangs should look
Gel can be added to the back of your hair, so that it will stand out straight. This works really well if you have the back of your hair shaved shorter.
Having the back of your hair shaggy and long is even more versatile.
Have fun experimenting with different hairstyles to reflect your mood, go crazy and spikey if you feel more rebellious and enjoy!
The Most Embarassing Thing that Happened to You?
That's probably the Endless Story, if I focus more I'd write an essay about it, but life's not for remembering all nasty things that happened to you, after all ;)
Anyway, I was walking on the street in this beautiful sunny Sunday morning, wearing the coolest outfit ever, when I was about to cross the street on Zebra Crossing. It was one of the 'On Demand' crossings, where the cars always stop. So the car stopped, and I, with cool gesture of 'cheers mate' went on to crossing the street, when suddenly my shoe just felt down from my feet, and I nearly tripped over!
I had to stop, grab my shoe, jump back to the pavement, let the cars go, and put the shoe back on, and then try to cross the street again! How very embarassing, luckily only one guy've seen it, he smiled at me, maybe I didn't look like a complete idiot, but I felt like one :/
